Home staging is the process of
presenting a house for sale or rent that will appeal to the broadest
buying/renting audience, 'setting the stage' so that when
prospective buyers/tenants view a property, they are immediately

their minds as to whether they like a property or not within
the first 5 minutes of a viewing. There is nothing dishonest
about home staging - no trickery is involved. It is a simple
technique that makes the most of what a home already has,
thus allowing buyers/tenants to see it in its most favorable light
and more importantly, to see themselves living there. Home
staging enables buyers/tenants to mentally move into a new home.

problem areas of the home that may be hindering its sale/rental if
it is already on the market, or before it is placed on the
market. Property Stylists are also known as Property
Presentation Consultants, Home Makeover Consultants and Home
Stagers.
They will offer expert advice to the
seller/property developer. Bear in mind that this advice is equally
valuable to clients who are not selling their property but
may wish to improve its living space by way of redecoration,
de-cluttering, making a home work for them in a practical
sense.
Put simply, a Property Stylist will neutralize the owner's
tastes and create an interior to appeal to the majority
of viewers. An Interior Designer will create an
interior solely to the Client's taste.
